This policy explains what information Fitness Brainiac (“we,” “us”), operated by PJ Hradilek in Agoura Hills, California, collects through fitnessbrainiac.com, and how we use and protect it. Questions? Email fitnessbrainiac@gmail.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use the body fat calculator and choose “Email me these results,” we collect the email address and ZIP code you enter, the consent you provide, and the body-composition figures you generate. When you use the text-request or contact forms, we collect the details you submit there.
Information collected automatically. At the moment you submit the calculator form, our hosting provider derives an approximate location (city, region, country) and your IP address from your connection. We use this to confirm submissions come from within our service area and to reduce spam and automated abuse.
We don’t require an account, and we don’t ask for sensitive personal information.
How we use it
- To email you the results you asked us to send.
- To contact you about training, body-composition services, and related offerings you’ve consented to hear about.
- To confirm you’re located in our Southern California service area and to screen out automated or bot submissions.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the site.
We rely on your consent — the checkbox you tick on the form — as the basis for emailing you and following up.
About the location data
IP-based location is approximate: accurate to roughly your city and easily changed by VPNs or mobile networks. We use it only as a rough service-area and anti-spam check — not to pinpoint you — and we don’t enrich it with data brokers.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of functional cookies — for example, to remember whether the Fitness Brainiac Radio player is on as you move between pages. These support functionality, not advertising. The calculator keeps your entries in your browser only during your session; it doesn’t store them on your device long-term.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run the site and deliver email on our behalf: Netlify (hosting and the function that processes the form) and Resend (email delivery). They process your information only to provide those services.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep what you submit for as long as needed to respond to you and manage our training relationship, and then only as long as reasonably necessary. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices & California privacy rights
- Opt out of marketing anytime — reply to any email from us asking to unsubscribe, or email fitnessbrainiac@gmail.com. We’ll stop.
- Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), California residents can request to know, access, correct, or delete their personal information, and opt out of its sale or sharing — though we don’t sell or share it as those terms are defined.
- We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email fitnessbrainiac@gmail.com with the details, and we’ll verify and respond as required by law.
Children
The site and its services are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
